Kashmir Willow bats require constant knocking and oiling for making the bat good enough to use in a cricket match. Knocking is done so as to make the fibres of the willow blade compress together which helps the bat bear the impact of the ball.

English Willow Nurtured in India which by nature is a soft fibrous wood, because of its natural moisture and its ability to be pressed in the manufacturing process, give great ball striking qualities.
